Lou Ruzza

is an author, entrepreneur, actor, and lifelong student of human behavior whose life has been shaped by a continuing inquiry into a deceptively simple question: What allows a human being to live a truly satisfying life?

Born in Italy as Louis Cattaruzza, Lou came to New York with his family in 1957. His life has taken many turns—from acting and producing an Off-Broadway showcase, to founding an investment securities broker-dealer that grew to more than 290 registered representatives in 19 branch offices, to later founding one of the early Internet media companies.

But behind those accomplishments was a much more personal journey.

THE BEGINNING OF AN INQUIRY

In 1976, Lou attended EST for a very personal reason: he wanted to understand the source of his own insecurity.

What began as an attempt to better understand himself became the beginning of an inquiry that would continue for nearly fifty years.
